Sadhana for New Year

A brand new year is coming up.

Whether there is a festive spirit in you or not; we are all influenced by this big hiatus.
Are you the one who likes doing some checks and balances at the end of the year?

Here are some tips for you.
I suggest to start with a list of what you have accomplished in this year; big or small, external or
internal. We all have a different understanding of what an accomplishment is and here I invite you to
keep an open mind towards all levels and layers of your life. Having seen and appreciated the best
sunset ever or getting a promotion are equally valid bullets. Let your thoughts just flow and jot them
down on a piece of paper; colored pens and all more than welcome.

Then take a totally dedicated moment to express your heart-felt gratitude for all these blessings.
Make another list of everything that you aspire to cultivate more in your life; again, big or small;
material or internal. Then take your time to pick your top 3 that you really, sincerely want to set your
intentions for 2021. Indicator of `really wanting` is the willingness to sacrifice your time and energy
to get it! People who are physically fit, do really get up and do their exercise in the morning. People
who are successful at what they are doing really put their mind and attention to their work in a
consistent way. We cannot just say things don’t happen knowing deep down inside that our deeds
are not aligned with our words.

Then there are the more subtle aspects that prevent us from manifesting our dreams. Inner pacts of
vengeance or parts of our being holding us back. Some follow highly destructive unconscious drives
to avoid success so that they can take vengeance from their over-controlling parents. Others
develop co-dependent relationship patterns to fill in the gap of an abandonment wound from
childhood. Karmic influences from past lives, astrological influences, global crisis, take a pick of all
other gross or subtle phenomena having an influence on your being.

When the formula is so complex, I call in the powers that be.

Shivoham Tantra offers a meditation with a special mantra for new year. This mantra consecrated by
