Ganesha Sadhana
Three Days of Immersion in Traditional Tantra with Guruji Maharaj & Guruma
20, 21 & 22 November 2026, Briançon, France
Arrival on 19 November · Departure on 23 November
3 days of Sadhana: Early bird €240 until 21 October, then €270 (accommodation and food not included)

For the first time in France, Guruji Maharaj & Guruma will guide a sadhana dedicated to Ganesha, an immersion in the practices of traditional Tantra from the Shivoham Tantra lineage.
A sadhana is a spiritual practice undertaken with discipline and continuity, intended to deepen the inner path and the relationship with the divine. In this lineage, it is based in particular on mantra, yantra, yagna, initiation, and various practices that work on the subtle dimension of the being.
During these three days, the practice will be entirely dedicated to Ganesha, one of the most important deities in the Hindu tradition, traditionally invoked at the beginning of a path, a practice, or a new cycle.
This retreat thus offers a gateway into a traditional form of Indian Tantra, far from the contemporary interpretations with which the word “tantra” is often associated today.

The Shivoham Tantra Lineage
The Tantra transmitted by Guruji Maharaj & Guruma belongs to an Indian spiritual tradition rooted in Shaivism and traditional Tantra.
In this approach, Tantra is a path of transformation that works with different tools transmitted within the tradition: mantras, yantras, yagna, kriyas, rituals, and various processes that work on the subtle body.
This is therefore not a tantra centered on sexuality, relationships, or touch, but a traditional spiritual practice based on discipline and work with the practitioner’s own energetic system.
The sadhanas transmitted by Guruji outside his ashram have been designed as a gateway into this tradition: an opportunity to directly experience some of its practices and receive a first initiation on this path.
About Guruji Maharaj & Guruma

Guruji Maharaj
Guruji Maharaj is a master of Kundalini and Tantra who has been guiding disciples through traditional Tantra for several decades.
His path has been shaped by 67 Gurus from different mystical traditions over more than four decades. His teachings are rooted in the principles of Shaivism and the practices of traditional Tantra, including mantra, yantra, yagna, kriyas, and Sanskar, a traditional process of purification through herbs. Today, he continues to transmit this tradition under the guidance of Maha Guru Sri Bhairavananda.
More about Guruji
Guruma Dipti Baswar
Alongside him, Guruma Dipti Baswar holds an essential place in the transmission and life of the lineage. She met Guruji in 2005, began practicing sadhana with him, and also accompanied him as a translator. They married in 2013 and their son Sharabh was born in 2014.
Over the years, Guruma has become a central presence in the way the teachings of the Bhairavanand lineage are transmitted and made accessible beyond India. In particular, she supports the translation, embodiment, and transmission of the teachings, creating a bridge between the depth of the tradition and those who come to encounter this path.
Her own transmission also connects the wisdom of Tantra with Bharatanatyam, Indian classical dance, which deeply inspires her. In particular, she shares the esoteric dimensions of this dance tradition and their connections with Tantric knowledge.
More about GurumaGuruji and Guruma thus accompany the disciples of the lineage together, each from their own unique place.
In 2015, under the guidance of his Guru Bhairavananda, Guruji built the Rajrajeshwari Shiva Temple, located in Parsodi, near Nagpur in India. It is from this ashram that the practices of Shivoham Tantra continue to be transmitted.
Why a Sadhana Dedicated to Ganesha?
Ganesha holds a special place in the Hindu tradition.
He is known as the remover of obstacles and as a support for new beginnings. He is traditionally associated with wisdom, protection, and prosperity, and is invoked when something new begins or when a passage needs to be opened.
A Sadhana with Ganesha consists of entering into relationship with this energy through the tools specific to the Tantric tradition.
It is not only about studying Ganesha intellectually or symbolically. Over three days, the relationship is built through the repetition of mantra, the creation and presence of the yantra, kriyas, devotion, and the initiation transmitted by Guruji.

The mantra becomes its sonic expression and the support for repetition.
The yantra becomes its geometric and visual form.
And the sadhana creates the framework within which this practice can be experienced continuously over several days.
What You Will Experience During the Three Days
The retreat will unfold over three full days of sadhana. The program may evolve according to the guidance of Guruji & Guruma and the process of the group.

Creation of a Ganesha Yantra
The group will create a Ganesha yantra together.
In the Tantric tradition, the yantra is the geometric and visual representation of the deity. It is not merely an artistic representation: through mantra and ritual processes, it becomes the living support of the sadhana.
During the retreat, mantra practices will be performed in front of this yantra in order to deepen the connection with the energy of Ganesha.

Mantra & Initiation
You will receive an initiation into the Ganesha mantra from Guruji and will practice mantra japa throughout the sadhana.
In this tradition, mantra is considered to be much more than a repeated phrase: it is one of the central tools of Tantra and works through repetition and initiation. The power of the practice is strengthened by the sadhana performed in front of a living yantra.
If you wish, you will also receive a personal mantra to continue after the retreat, so that the process does not end with these three days but can become part of your personal practice.

Tantric Kriyas
Physical and vocal kriyas will also be transmitted during the retreat.
In this tradition, kriyas are specific practices using, in particular, the body, breath, sound, or movement in order to work on the circulation of energy and the subtle system.
The Three Gunas
The sadhana will also provide an opportunity to enter into an understanding of the three gunas (sattva, rajas, and tamas), which hold an important place in the traditional understanding of the different qualities of nature and energy.
This exploration will not be purely theoretical: it will take place within the overall experience of the sadhana and the practices transmitted during the three days.
Stories and Symbolism of Ganesha
Guruma will also share teachings about Ganesha, his stories, and his symbolism, allowing participants to understand more deeply the deity at the heart of the practice.
The sadhana will thus be a space where practice, transmission, and understanding meet.

A Personal Meeting with Guruji & Guruma
Each participant in the Sadhana will also have an individual meeting with Guruji & Guruma.
This time allows you to meet Guruji & Guruma directly, ask them personal questions, and receive their guidance regarding your spiritual path or practice.
The individual meeting is an integral part of the retreat.
Optional: Body Scan with Guruji
Those participating in the Sadhana will also have the possibility, if they wish, to separately book a Body Scan with Guruji.
This is a process during which Guruji assesses the subtle energetic system and provides feedback regarding, in particular, the state of the chakras, Kundalini, and any energetic blockages, as well as recommendations adapted to the person’s energetic system.
This process requires a significant amount of energy from Guruji. It is therefore offered to people who are genuinely committed to a spiritual path rather than as an experience motivated solely by curiosity.
The Body Scan is optional, is not included in the price of the Sadhana, and is only available to those participating in the retreat.

The Spirit of the Retreat
These three days are designed as a time entirely dedicated to practice.
Participants are invited to enter the retreat with simplicity, presence, and commitment, allowing the process to unfold in continuity.
The discipline communicated for this retreat includes:
- Red clothing during sadhana sessions
- Vegetarian diet
- No alcohol or other substances
- Celibacy during the three days
It is recommended to keep the days entirely free and not plan any other commitments during the sadhana.
The retreat is open to those who wish to discover this tradition and are willing to fully commit to the practices during these three days.
